That barn was on Lamborn’s, where I used to ride. It’s not there any more, it’s long gone, but it was a huge barn. It was a huge barn. That windmill was not in working condition but I was always afraid it would start blowing and creak as I was riding by, and scare my horse. That was a fun ride to take out around that barn and back. I painted from life and from photograph. I had to call em up and ask if I could site in their pasture a little ways away from their barn and paint that. Of course they let me do that. Why’s she want to paint that ole barn anyway? That’s the second one I did of that. Nancy Lamborn has the first one. It’s almost exactly the same, but I think this one is a little better.
