Multi photos with memories of recipient to painting
14 x 18″ oil on stretched canvas
My friend Linda Oftenberg asked me to do a painting of her barn because they were getting ready to tear it down. It’s where she stabled her pony as a kid. It’s in Basehor, on Thomas Street. It was red at the time, but before they tore it down it was white. I said, I’m trying to make it look a little old, but if I paint it red it might not look very old. She has that painting. She took several picture, but none of them matched. Different distance, some where small, some were large. That was a lot of fun trying to put that together. That was her dad’s horse [in the painting], they had a stallion they kept in the barn.
